                                         You Don' t Know Jack!

Inspired by Jean Louis Crinon                                       1/1 Scale

My first real sculpture, Using 2x4 and 2x6 blocks for head and body. Jack stands 28 inches tall, From hair to bottom of box. I enjoyed using materials lying around my workshop to create this mischievous jack in the box. An incredible artist inspired me to attempt this. Jean Louis Crinon had sculpted a creepy jack in the box and sells it as a kit, I had come across pictures of the finished model, but at the time did not know how to acquire it. I thought the subject and the model was awesome and decided to build it myself. As I was 3/4 finished with my Jack, I found out who had sculpted the kit and that it was still available. My wife Mindy, secretly purchased the kit and gave it to me as a present. My plan is to build and paint the kit and put it next to jack in my display case. I hope Jean someday will see what I have done and know that his talent is truly inspiring.
