" Tending to her Young"     Sculpture                 1/8 scale

This is a sculpture of a mother dragon feeding a Sirene ( a bird like creature) to her young. I put wood over a threaded rod armature which will then be covered with a sculpting putty.. The nest is atop a high mountain peak  and she uses her fiery breath to heat the rocks and trees to keep her young warm. The wings are almost 4 feet in diameter and will have a transparent skin. The rocks are made of plaster and glued to a styrofoam base. The nest is made of branches and will also include sign posts, wagon parts, barn parts, and other debris to give scale to show how big she is.
